I. Delivery Turn Around Time

Amish workshops are currently backlogged due to the pandemic. Delivery times have been running from 4 to 7 months, with an average of about 5 months.

The exceptions to this would be if your product code starts with any of the below:
  • CLA: 2-4 months. 
  • MWW: 2-4 months
Also, large orders may take 7-8 months for delivery.

II. Order Cancellation:

1) Once you place your order, you will have 3 business days to cancel your order free of charge. If you decide to cancel after 3 business days have passed, we will do our best to stop the order process but charges may be incurred. Please allow up to 15 days for funds to be credited to your account

2) If you cancel your order once the building process has started we will do our best to minimize charges incurred by our Amish builders.

III. Returns

a) If your merchandise is damaged or defective upon delivery, you will be eligible for a full refund or replacement including shipping cost if we are notified within three days of delivery.

If you notice your furniture is damaged upon delivery, please hold the truck and notify us immediately by calling 800- 918-6184.
Please take pictures of the damage and send them to our email address with a description. You must save all packing material if your items were delivered by common carrier.
Note, we are not responsible for the cost of repairing or replacing furniture that is damaged outside of the USA (on any foreign orders).

b) If free wood stain samples are not requested to make a stain color selection for your order, we will be unable to accept returns due to receiving undesired stain color..

c) If you are not satisfied with your order you may return the furniture piece(s) for a refund.

The refund amount will be less actual cost shipping both ways (to you and back to our warehouse), and less a 30% restocking fee. Returns must be initiated within 15 days of delivery.

All merchandise returned to us must be shipped via our company carrier. Items that have been personalized or customized that will make it difficult to resell cannot be returned.

Please allow up to 15 days for funds to be credited to your bank account after the refund has been processed.

d) We do ship to locations outside of the 48 continuous states, however, we will not be responsible for the cost of repairing or replacing our furniture once it leaves USA soil. All sales are final for destinations outside the 48 continuous states and there is no guarantee on the furniture you order.

IV. Re-delivery Attempts:

If customer is unavailable during a scheduled delivery attempt customer will responsible for the cost of each re-delivery attempt after initial scheduled delivery attempts have failed.

V. Right of Refusal of Service:

We reserve the right to refuse service to any customer at our discretion. If you have been charged for the order, the order may be cancelled and refunded.

Orders of single items that are typically purchased in sets, such as dining room chairs, may be cancelled due to shipping cost restrictions. Our pricing for these items is set as low as possible for the benefit of customers who order sets of these items. Please contact us for more information.

VI. Remote & Difficult to Access Delivery Locations

On occasion the shipping calculator in the shopping cart is unable to calculate shipping costs with sufficient accuracy due to certain circumstances. These include the following:

Calculated Rate Exceptions:

1. If your shipping destination is located in a remote part of the country or is difficult to access.

  • Remote areas are those not frequented by our regular shippers, such as Islands, upper Maine, and sparcely populated Western areas..

  • Difficult to access areas or roads.

2. Larger orders around $7,000 and up where handling costs vary in extremes.

3. Orders for one item (that are typically ordered in sets, such as a dining chair or end table), that has to ship in an over-sized UPS/FedEx box, or go on a pallet if it's too big for Fedex/UPS.
We strive to charge you less than the actual cost for shipping. However, in these cases, if the actual cost it too great, we will offer you the option to pay an additional amount or cancel your order.

VII. Sales Tax

7% sales tax applies to orders placed by Iowa residents only. Sales tax is not automatically calculated for online orders, so we will contact you to arrange a separate payment for sales tax. Sales tax does not apply to residents outside the state of Iowa.

VIII. Privacy Policy

Amish Furniture Factory recognizes that privacy is important. Any and all the information collected on this site will be kept strictly confidential and will not be sold, reused, rented, disclosed, or loaned! Any information you provide will be held with the utmost care and will not be used in ways that you have not consented to.

When you send personal information over the internet such as your credit card number, it is not readable to anyone but us. We encrypt your information using the 'web standard' SSL (secure socket layer) technology.

We use 128 bit encryption for 'super-secure' transmission. Many sites only use 40 bit encryption which has been shown to be relatively easy to break. Your browser will be in "secure mode" as you proceed to the online order form. When your browser is in secure mode, you will notice the padlock icon on your browser window is in the locked position. This indicates that all information exchanged between you and our server is scrambled. This encryption/decryption process takes a little extra time, so you might notice some slowdown in your browser's response times.

IX. Legal

These terms and conditions and the transactions contemplated hereby shall be governed by, and construed and interpreted in accordance with, the laws of the State of Iowa, without regard to the choice-of-law principles thereof. Any action seeking legal or equitable relief arising out of or relating to these Terms or any information on this web site will be brought only in the courts of the State of Iowa.
