Staining furniture protects it and also makes it more beautiful as well. The craftsmanship and natural beauty of the wood become all the more evident and pronounced once the staining process has been completed.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n\n\n<\/p>\n

Another key reason to opt for stained furniture is that stained furniture allows our customers to get the exact color and look they want for their home. Being able to choose from different staining options allows homeowners to achieve a great match for their home.<\/p>\n

The process begins when a completed item arrives at the finishing station. \u00a0Take a look at this schedule and you will see why a quality finish requires two to three days to complete.<\/p>\n

  1. When the piece arrives it is carefully disassembled to allow the spray to get into any corners and small areas .<\/li>\n
  2. A prep sanding is performed to eliminate any minor scratches that occurred during shipping and handling.<\/li>\n
  3. The solvent based stain in the color of your choice is applied with a sprayer and immediately wiped with a soft cloth to create a uniform appearance.<\/li>\n
  4. The piece is left do dry. \u00a0The drying time will vary depending on the weather and humidity in the air but usually takes a couple of hours.<\/li>\n
  5. To seal the grain pattern and the color, the first coat of clear sealer is sprayed on and left to dry.<\/li>\n
  6. Once dry the entire piece is hand sanded again using an extra fine grit sandpaper.<\/li>\n
  7. A clear top coat is now applied and, again, allowed to dry.<\/li>\n
  8. The final step is to reassemble the piece and install any glass door inserts or shelves, hardware etc.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    All furniture arrives at our staining facility in Wakarusa, Indiana assembled. Once on site, the furniture is carefully disassembled. The reason is that once disassembled each piece of the furniture can be carefully stained. Through this disassembly, it is possible to properly stain every single inch and area of the furniture so that the durability and beauty provided by staining reaches every part of a given piece of furniture.<\/p>\n
