At Amish Furniture Factory we sell the best quality hardwood, Amish made coat racks and coat trees available. A coat tree is simple in design, but build very strong to handle the weight of multiple clothing items such as heavy winter coats. A coat tree consists of a thick post standing anywhere from 55” to 70” high supported at the base with reinforced feet, or legs. Near the top of the post on most coat racks are an arrangement of hooks that are screwed into the wood post from which to hand your clothing items.

A coat rack, by contrast, does not stand on legged feet from the ground, but are hung from a wall. Coat racks are excellent space savers as they do not require any floor space in your entry or hall area. Coat racks are also very strong since they can be hung from mounts connected to studs in your wall. Like coat trees, coat racks have an arrangement of hooks extending horizontally from the rack base from which you can hand multiple clothing items.

Most of our coat trees and racks are available in the most popular and sought after hardwoods, oak and cherry. If you don’t see the wood type as an option for a coat tree or rack you are interested in purchasing, please contact us and we may be able to request our builder make your coat tree or coat rack in your preferred wood type.

For each of these wood types we offer for your coat tree or coat rack, there are multiple stain and finishing choices, including paints, which will better increase the chances of you being able to match your home décor colors or existing furniture. If none of the samples we have in stock will meet your needs, we offer a service to product custom samples based on another sample, furniture piece, or picture. The most popular paint finishes we apply to our coat trees and coat racks are matte (or non-glossy) white and black.
